  1. You say that because you’re used to it. I couldn’t dream of device for anything by 6 or 12, it just isn’t as compatible with our current counting system. Plus imperial isn’t strictly base 12, it feels more like a random dump of bases. 12 inches to a foot, 3 feet to a yard, 1760 yards to a mile, ect. Then there’s chains, and so on.

  2. Garret not really. When eyeballing it’s fine, but measurements are supposed to be accurate. That why a simple and versatile base-10 system works, on any scale. Actually it’s so good it’s even the basis of the imperial system.

  3. Garret it’s easy to decide by a third, and it’s as accurate as using imperial. Just measure 333 mm. It’s as accurate as say 4 inches to a foot because as humans we aren’t 100% accurate to begin with

  4. Garret you are never going to need it more accurate than mm, and if you do, a computer is way more accurate than us
