  2. If renewable energy was cheaper, the free market would use it over fossil fuels without missing a beat. Bigger profit margins AND you can put a shiny eco friendly sticker on your company! Which is why your claim is bullshit, because companies aren’t using renewables. And because companies aren’t using renewables, the government has to subsidise them.

  3.  @joshmerchant8737  it does, but it’s also far more common. If you account for the amount of electricity generated by each method, you would see that fossil fuels get less subsidies. I don’t like subsidies altogether, no matter the reason.
