  3.  @ClockworkGearhead  corporations often pay better than an "honest employer". But regardless no, you're paid what your worth. You're worth as much as it would cost to replace you. Supply and demand. If you're in a high demand field with not many available workers (such as a doctor), you'll earn crazy money. If you are in a job that can literally be done by anyone (such as a McDonald's employee) then you'll earn not so much.
