One news reporter who spoke out against certain leaders of Government is now unable to use public transport (train, plane, bus) has restricted internet access, and is spied on anywhere they go through payment details and through surveillance. Your bank can’t do that, but your government can. That’s one of many reasons against this.

T D neural networks can make deep fakes from single photos of a celebrity, in the future they will be able to not only correctly synthesise a persons voice (they can already do that), but also will be able to put them in new settings, with any clothing, doing any action and with anything coming out of their mouth. It’s not far off, as I said it takes one photo, and with more and more videos of celebrities and politicians get on easily accessible public domains, we won’t be able to tell the truth.
