Mike Halve also a more corrupt system, which allows the government to lock people out of travelling by public transport, accessing the internet and possibly many other things (health, education, ect) Do we want our government to have that control

And you should too. China is a corrupt country. One news journalist spoke out against their government, calling out lies that he heard while inside government. He is now locked down, unable to move around (by train, bus or plane), has restricted internet access and is constantly spies on by the government. It gives the government too much control.

Dustin Tacohands any government can turn on its citizens. Or minority group. And no one would know because it’s been censored.
4
You can’t make it illegal. All it takes is someone with a computer.
3
ratman honestly you can do private sales in any country, and no it’s not legal to supply a criminal with a gun
2
And the reason you can do private sales is because it’s impossible to stop everyone
2
djordjem yes. It’s actually scary the power they have.
2
Because it’s corrupt?
2
Police don’t want smart guns. What police want is guns that are reliable. Very little incidents actually occur with the officers gun wing stollen, and almost all of them are due to bad policing: not keeping distance, ect. What is more common is the suspect being armed already
2
Michael Loreantz the us government has less control over its citizens than most other countries. No other countries have rights strictly woven into its constitution. No other country protects your right to the freedom of speech, or the right to have a certain religious belief. No other country is America.
2
Tattle Boad the first constitution, but doesn’t protect your rights
2
Tattle Boad not communist, but Venezuela is a socialist (lighter version of communism) that is a dictatorship
2
cool beans I can disagree. I have seen about 3 firearms - all pistols on a policeman’s belt
1
ratman you also fail to see the huge racial diversity and culture around the us. Australia doesn’t have this gun culture, Australians doesn’t care about their rights.

de0509 if they just held on to it, how would they make money? Come on don’t be an idiot. Same for any company you find money for them to hold, like superannuation.

You can’t stop it. Neural networks are the future. The actual guitar (I’m talking 100+ years) is one where there’s is very few jobs. Doctors, mathematicians, pilots, drivers, cashiers, ect all out of jobs. So many jobs considered safe will be taken by ai and technology.

abhinav malasi no it’s not. Read my comment for more information

TUO LI sadly instead the government had taken their place. It can control what and where people can buy or go.
1
What
1
No

For a bad deep fake yeah...
1
Kim Monzon no it’s not
1
Except the massive amounts of oil
1
Jeremy Ren the Chinese government can control where you go, what you can buy and can track every inch of it. One news reporter who spoke out against certain leaders of Government is now unable to use public transport (train, plane, bus) has restricted internet access, and is spied on anywhere they go through payment details and through surveillance. Your bank can’t do that, but your government can. That’s one of many reasons against this.

It can also identify your status according to your purchase history. A bank can view this and deny a loan to you.
1
T D in the future you won’t be able to tell it apart, unless it is from a public photo or video of course.
1
T D neural networks can make deep fakes from single photos of a celebrity, in the future they will be able to not only correctly synthesise a persons voice (they can already do that), but also will be able to put them in new settings, with any clothing, doing any action and with anything coming out of their mouth. It’s not far off, as I said it takes one photo, and with more and more videos of celebrities and politicians get on easily accessible public domains, we won’t be able to tell the truth. It’s pretty scary
1
How would you enforce such a ban?
1
Francisco Wellington no, China is a corrupt country
1
firstname lastname China can track you with a wechat account
1
They didn’t. Computers 30 years ago couldn’t do this in the slightest. It’s still very primitive now and takes massive server farms for ok results.

High Five Frank “who had the tech to create the earth”. Get the fuck out of here you troll
1
Tattle Boad profit v agenda? If we allow our government to our money, they have all the control in the world.
1
Michael Loreantz conspiracies? Like the earth is flat or 9/11 was faked? Yeah I’ve seen them, and that’s all they are. They are theories that people put out there that can’t be debunked because the idea it’s based out of is flawed itself. Think about it: if it were true it wouldn’t be a “conspiracy”
