Ahh the old "banks are stealing profits from you" scam that's been running for centuries
4
No quantum company has claimed it will replace classical computers, why are you even bringing it up? It will aid computers, specialised in a task current computers are terrible at. Like the GPU is specialised in certain tasks
2
Nor has any company claimed quantum computers are useful yet. Their claim is that they will be soon, which you only refute by saying we don’t know that it’s possible because hasn’t been done before. Okay? Thanks for the revelation It’s like saying that aerial flight was impossible because it hadn’t happened yet.
2
Our current computers can answer problems that’d take humans longer than the age of the universe for compute. How do we know if they’re correct? See how this is a meaningless question?
2
But the benefits are: a far cheaper truck to drive and maintain, less pollution, better experience for your drivers (many love the acceleration on the trucks, no gears, etc
2
Can trains transport goods to local stores?
1
@hiimjustin8826 the video makes the assumption self driving in cities is impossible, and sure in that case a self driving truck has little utility. But self driving is possible. Waymo does it regularly, Tesla’s FSD is making massive progress with each release (v13 is phenomenal). In 5 years robotics will be available across the country, and at that point trucks will start being automated as well.
1
Love all the people screaming about trains, so trains run up to the back of stores where you live? No? Then you’re going to need some damn trucks!
1
QC will let us simulate things that were impossible before. That’s the point
1
Apple 😂 Apple just decided one day to stop supporting x86 and force all their enterprise customers to rebuild their products in ARM. Microsoft has a way better track record of supporting legacy software, hell they still support IE websites through edge
1
Trucking is such a waste of human potential. The quicker we automate it the better
1
The thing holding back quantum computing right now isn’t the number of qubits, we could build a computer with 10000 qubits The problem is error rate, time before decoherence, etc. As these problems are solved, they will enable exponentially greater amounts of qubits without increasing error rates.
1
Random people have told experts things are “impossible” for years. The NY Times published an article in 1903 that aerial flight was impossible, 50 days later the Wright Brothers flew for the first time. This video doesn’t actually reveal any new information. He’s not an export on Quantum nor does he source experts in the field to back his claims. He just sits here and says it’s impossible because it hasn’t happened yet

It’s not the weak. GameStop is a terrible business that will die in the near future. In the share market, your job is to pick up on that and invest appropriately.
1
@guilhermecaiado5384 GameStop sells you a small selection of AAA games at an upmarked price. Being a brick and mortar business puts them at a disadvantage against their more flexible online competitors. They are fundamentally flawed and that’s reflected in their poor stock performance. It is not the short sellers.

Will we ever see autonomous cars on the road? Posted: 2018
1
How?
1
Trucks can only legally carry up to 40 tonnes. Tesla Semi is estimated at around 15 tonnes, against a petrol truck weighs around 10 tonnes. So a reduction in total capacity by 5 tonnes (17%)
1
@vintageexcellence less maintenance isn’t a claim, just like electric cars these trucks have far less moving parts and need less frequent maintenance. No spark plugs, fuel injectors, transmission, drive shaft, timing belts, starter motors, pistons, valves. Oil isn’t needed, brake pads don’t need to be changed as often
1
@vintageexcellence range extender EVs are interesting for long haul shipping to poorly connected areas. But EVs will dominate short hauls. The range isn’t a big inhibitor, truck drivers already have a mandated amount of time they can drive without break. In the EU they have to have a 45 minute break every 4 hours, in the US it’s every 8. All you need is an EV that can drive for that amount of time.
1
Limit is the same in Australia, road trains are just used for mining
1
Lmao. Businesses make more money being efficient.
1
@skypirate6370 trains don’t directly connect to stores and warehouses
1
@skypirate6370 trucks have a significant advantage in short haul trips (<150mi), being cheaper, faster and more flexible (going directly to the store)
1
Saudi Arabia could be a superpower. Thankfully they waste their money on bullshit like this
1
The broker. That’s how brokers like Robinhood can profit without charging any commission
1
@kenstickney8678 Why not? Short selling is great for you and the market. For one, it allows brokers to charge 0% commisions, increasign your profit margins. It helps reduce market volatility. It helps find market manipulation.
