  10.  @DinoDino118  that’s a lie. Almost all innovations are done in private companies, with owners that have the incentive to succeed. Look at China. Once a heavily socialist country, in the 1970s they started to privatise almost every industry. Their economy exploded, pulling hundreds of millions out of poverty in a few decades. There’s many reasons why sharing doesn’t work. The main reason is the lack of personal accountability. The USSR was extremely inefficient because there was little incentive to make it efficient. In fact, most of the time it was beneficial to run under quotas so that next year you can get more people, more resources, ect.

  11. A good parent doesn’t overvalue either one. They will work and care. Especially nowadays where technology can make simple tasks so much less time consuming leaving more time to do stuff. Mums are usually the caretaker, but so can the father. It’s not bad that a mother chooses to care for her children, nor is it good that a mother chooses to work instead. And the same goes for fathers.

  15. America’s healthcare system isn’t private. It’s a jumbled mess of 3 different public systems, consumers, and countless insurance companies. I agree there needs to be a rework of that system. But you are also missing something, America is footing the bills for other countries. America is the number 1 in medical research, with a majority of it coming from private companies. This research is used in other countries at no charge, due to them price fixing their treatments.

  19. Kale H because swing states don’t change? Trump won 4 blue wall states in 2016, Michigan being one. They hadn’t voted republican since 1988. States do change, and if voters hot out there and voted we would see more and more changes. And no one is going to win with only 22% of the vote. It’s about as likely as someone winning with less than 1% (it’s possible, theoretically). If that’s supposed to invalidate a very good system that bridges the gap between the big and small, it is really not working.

  20. Kale H not really. It’s as absurd as the fact that with a popular vote system the president can be elected by 9 out of the 50 states. We can talk numbers all day, but the point stands: the electoral college is a fair system that aims to narrow the gap between the large sand small states. It does g favour either one too much.

  23. David Rizzardi it’s a sign of it working. It worked and still works to this day. It’s role is to give more power to the smaller states to even out the odds. Trump destroyed Hillary, there’s no way around it. With a popular vote system to vote our president, big states like California and New York would be the only ones campaigned towards. New York would go really well, as it sucks up all of the federal taxes at the cost of the rest of the country to secure another presidency. Trump won, look at the map. He held 10 more states than Hillary.

And the electoral college does represent the people, it just makes sure that the minority states also get represented. I guess the left is only supportive of the minority when it helps them, the awful pandering. Now tell me: how could trump have stopped the Covid-19 outbreak? Realistically. He shut the borders to China extremely early, which lead to huge outrage from the left. Perhaps he should have shut down the entire US borders, but at that time China and the WHO was telling the world that COVID-19 wasn’t very infectious. Once it got in however, he has no control. He cannot instate a nation wide lockdown - it’s against the constitution. He left it up to the states to handle.

I’ll simplify it for you: the police were responding to a shoplifter when they were notified of another one getting away. After the police get outside and repeatedly tell them to stop, they speed off and attempt to drop their daughter off at an apartment building. At the building the man was detained, and heading back to their car the officer noticed the Mum making odd movements - likes she’s grabbing something.

  27. kamenriderreaper it 100% justifies their behaviour. Their language... that’s not really racially affected. But put yourself in their shoes, someone can open their door and shoot in a fraction of a second. I’ve seen footage of police dying in moments because of it. A traffic stop is difficult, because you can’t see everything that’s going on. Simple rule for anyone: keep your hands visible.

Without a strong economy, you wouldn’t live the great live that you do. The internet? Technology? Your high life expectancy? All gone. We live a better life now than royalty did in the past. We live longer, happier, healthier. Why? Because we have a strong economy.

  38.  @thenightstalker8095  I wouldn’t put state capitalism or corporatism in seperate sections, they are both parts of socialism and capitalism respectively. What people tend to miss is that it’s a spectrum, a spectrum of large government interference (strict communism) all the way to individualism (strict capitalism). The best would be in the middle of what we have today and individualism.

We demand profit-sharing in large industries. State capitalism is quite literally another word for socialism. Many people believe that the USSR was a state capitalist economy. Capitalism is: “an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.” By that very definition, state capitalism isn’t capitalism at all - just a form of socialism.

Then how come the USSR, the father of modern socialism - and possibly the biggest attempt if socialism ever is labeled as a state capitalist economy by many? Hitler did implement those points, not all but most. He mobilised a massive public workforce. The Reich Labour Service was a compulsory labour service for boys (and later girls) between the ages 18-25.
