  1. That’s the great thing about low gravity, less force. HLS isn’t designed to land on earth, it doesn’t have a heat shield for one.

  2. I don’t see you complaining about how much is spent on films, or luxuries, or advertising, or defence. You don’t actually care about the homeless, you just care that NASA doesn’t have a benefit in your eyes. Well it does, it benefits the species. That’s worth the less than 0.1% of GDP NASA is given.

  4. That was literally the point of the ISS, to study the effects of microgravity and radiation and develop ways to mitigate them. Things like daily exercise, improved radiation shielding, etc. They won’t be on the moon for long. Just a month + half a month travel to and from. Much shorter than the average stay on the ISS.

  5. That’s not purely NASA’s fault, Congress controls NASA’s budget and push funding into pointless jobs in their districts to buy votes.

  7. Except they didn’t. They bought a Hammer, Engine and a number of other things all at once. They weren’t itemised so when the accounting had to be done each item was just divided evenly. It was just an accounting anomaly. I’m not saying NASA isn’t wasteful but there are better examples
