  2. He did know who was behind him because he was being chased by him for a while before this shooting occurred. Also self defence only requires the aggressor to pose a threat to the person, you don’t need to wait until you’re an inch from your life to save yourself. The guy was chasing Rittenhouse and was shot when he was in an arbs reach if Kyle, he clearly posed a threat to Kyle and thus it’s clearly in self defence.
