Reed McPhail with Microsoft rewards, a huge investment into its search functionality, integration into a variety of products (and its own browser which has overtaken Firefox in usage), and spreading out of services. It has integrated its search engine into many third part sites, like Duck Duck Go, Ecosia, Yahoo, ect.

  5. It’s powered by Bing, like Yahoo, Ecosia and countless other search engines. It’s not a bad thing, Bing tracks it’s users much less (and doesn’t at all on alternative sites) and it’s results are much better nowadays. Plus duck duck go uses it’s own algorithms to alter results.
