  1. Europeans colonised the land, building towns and cities. Think of it as a large “tribe” coming in. It was never there land, no one “owns” land. People instead enforce ownership. Britain enforced ownership, civilised the land and built a country.

  2. John Ellis there is a large devise between illegal immigrant and a refugee. A Mexican jumping the border is not a refugee. A person over staying there visa is not a refugee. People seeking refuge from war-torn countries are refugees, and if they can prove that they do in fact come from there are protected.
