  3. Your neighbour could just as easily stab you. The gun makes it easier to kill yes, but also makes it easier to defend. Personally I would much rather have a gun rather than having to hope that the police turn up before I get stabbed to death. It also serves other purposes. As a German you would no how disastrous giving your government too much power can be. The only thing stopping that from rising again is guns in the citizens hands.

  11. HingerlAlois Venezuela has extremely tough gun laws. The point of them were to improve the security of the state... to stop people from overthrowing the dictatorship. It’s a great example of how gun control laws can be used to control a population. Cuba, China, Germany, the USSR. The list goes on.

  18.  @Bee-tz2hg  yes. Extreme immigration from people overseas has driven up the demand for housing, and priced people out of their own neighbourhoods. They also take jobs, which drives down demand for workers and lowers wages. The facts are: immigration hurts workers.

  20.  @stephenjenkins7971  The us should fix their own broken tax system and stop blaming it on countries who's tax system works just fine. Forcing everyone to conform to a certain tax range would kill competition in the global market - competition that has driven markets in the first place.

  22.  @stephenjenkins7971  Profits a company earns in the US are taxed by the US government. You cant just set up a HQ in a tax haven and save taxes (legally). A business may choose to invest in countries with lower tax rates - and for the US this hurts their tax revenue. So yes, it only helps tax-heavy countries like the US.

  24. Seeing as it’s death rate is only 1%, I doubt it. If anything, it kills off old people which will ease the entire system. It’s a grim way of looking at it, but these old people have been sucking taxpayers dry.

  33. Princewill Chiemelie Nwajide school shootings are extremely rare, and the reason they occur as frequently as they do is because the school has no way to stop on. Give teachers the ability to bring guns to school, lock them up in a gun safe. It would not only deter shooters, but reduce the number dead.
