18 is even to low. 21 should be the voting age, at 18 people haven’t even experienced self dependence nor have the maturity to make important decisions.

@soifi2165 no, you will have experience. Experience living by yourself, experience paying taxes, and working. Experience of life without your parents.

@rithvikmuthyalapati9754 if it were up to me conscription wouldn't happen full stop. But if it were to happen, well I wouldn't base it on who can or cannot vote, but rather who is the most viable to fight. That's why woman can vote but aren't apart of the draft.

BetaPlain not at all. Maturity is measurable, and comes through experience. At 18 most adults have only just started to work and earn an income themselves, have started to rely less on their parents, ect. Even then a lot of 18 year olds will go onto university where life is paid for them for 4 years through loans - or potentially even longer. These people haven’t had the experience of actual life to make important decisions like voting for a president

@soifi2165 educate yourself... everything you learn from 0-18 is from your teachers, parents or peers. You miss out one key source - that’s your real life experiences.

@soifi2165 you do need life experience to know how to solve those issues, and the potential economic consequences of your laws. It’s very easy to talk about getting rid of all fossil fuels when your entire life is paid for.
