  3. Kristian O. back then something like 0.002% of households were in that bracket, so only a few people. Looking at the top 1%, from now to then average tax rates haven’t fallen that much - however the us gdp has continually grown. We are much better off nowadays than back then

  4. Crippling your economy for $20-$30 billion a year is absurd. Not to mention it wouldn’t even come close to covering the US’s budget deficit.
