  1. The safety concerns surrounding ground effects was that the cars were cornering too fast. Reducing the Aero from the wings and increasing the Aero delivered by ground effects would have little impact on safety

  2. Simplifying aero design will increase costs? There will be huge restrictions on development budgets, testing time and wind tunnels coming in the future. Aero will be more about the expertise of the hired engineers rather than who can chuck the most resources at the problem
