  5. First off, the CARES act pumped over a trillion dollars in individuals and small businesses. On top of that, increased unemployment benefits meant people would earn $600 a week if they lost their job due to COVID. The $500 billion in loans to corporations hurt by COVID are loans, they will be expected to pay it back . The money to individuals? That’s completely loan free, you don’t need to pay a cent back! And so what that the government nails out corporations during a recession no one could prepare for. It saves jobs, and keeps America’s economy from a collapse.
