  1. I absolutely agree with you, it is a crime that schools don't introduce proofs. Even the most simplistic proofs, like the ones you showed. The only time they are put into my curriculum is if you take the hardest math course, which only 5% of the cohort takes. 95% of students aren't even introduced to proofs.

  2.  @PhoenixtheII humans will be the last species to die. Even if the planet around us becomes uninhabitable we’ll engineer ways to extend our kind before we eventually also die. If we die, we’ll have taken down the planet with us.
