The only negative side is that the CEO probably never realised his mistake. He got off too easy.

It's now even more interesting wreck site with two wrecks to study, actually.
12
If they drifted off due to an electrical malfunction (which they had plenty in the past) they will most likely never be even recovered. If it's stuck to Titanic somewhere, it will make a new tourist attraction alongside it.
11
They knew the risks, the only bad thing is that government money is wasted on the rescue operation. The corporation should take care of their own cleanup.

Well the CEO did claim the Titan was unsinkable and it wasn't a bad omen at all to name the vessel according to the space rocket which killed all of its crew on the launch pad.

@legally_ellecee If there would have been a pinhole leak, it would cut the passengers like a water cnc with 400 bars of pressure...
5
@tonysheerness2427 The banging certainly didn't come from Titan. The implosion was the last sound they made.

@HistoryBuff1533 No, all regulation is always bad. It's a slippery slope that leads to tyranny.
3
An implosion was actually the best case scenario. Being burned alive in the O2 environment or slowly being succumbed to CO2 trapped would have been far more painful...
3
Only consolation is that the CEO got punished by his stupidity.

@wilf609 Wreck diving is not a crime, but nice try.
2
Not to mention the passenger who refused to be on the boat on this trip

@TheWESTSIDE1967 I can't see it as very sad. They paid a huge sum out of total vanity and knowingly took the risk and signed a waiver. The only sad thing in this is all the millions of taxpayers money that went into the rescue attempt.
2
@SHAWNEESKYWALKER I was referring to the Apollo I which was an early space program rocket which was pressurised with pure oxygen. Any source of combustion will set everything ablaze as they unfortunately found out. The crew was bolted in the cabin and burned to death before rescuers came.
2
@PaulJoanKieth This would be the case unless millions of taxpayers money was wasted in the resque attempt...
2
Now there's one more attraction to see actually.
1
@Isaac-eh6uu Well he did but not in so many words. He claimed that his vessel worked like an elevator and needed just one button to surface in case of an emergency...
