I absolutely support gender equality but understand that the latest wave of feminism is more concerned with collectivism than gender equality. The Communist party wants to define social issues as the Worker vs Capitalist model. You did not mention the long term results if a large population of men decide to not have reproductive sex with women. Is this a 21st century Darwin award for ignorance of the organic evolution of humans? One result is that many women do not plan their 20's well and as a result can end up at age 30 with no male long term prospects with results of storing eggs and using IVF or they just continue through menopause with no pregnancies. Some MGTOW men have responded by donating samples to Sperm banks for IVF clinics. This will allow their DNA to remain in the human genetic pool. You mentioned a few reasons for men to follow this philosophy based on immaturity , low openness and low agreeableness under the Five factor model and you can show this with any small population using your own criteria. The are many MGTOW who are successful financially and socially without these low values of Openness and aggreeableness. Can men love women and care about them and still be MGTOW? Yes of course. Are MGTOW men finding ways to decrease their reliance on state sanctioned Long Term Relationships which favor women and the state? There are several including prostitutes, women who have sex not requiring relationships and married women. In some ways having an affair with married women seems to solve many of the legal issues. A married woman in an affair can not sue her paramour for alimony. In 46 states, the husband of a marriage is legally financially responsible for any children conceived during the marriage regardless of the identity of the sperm donor. You discussed the possibility of paranoid thinking among some MGTOW but did not explain the latest research that shows that as much as 50% of married women have a "Plan B" ( affair) with the man usually being a member of her "Friend zone" who never made it to her "dating" category. Men can understand before they get married the many legal and emotional pitfalls that await them because of state sanctioned marriage . Should all men be forced to donate money to political campaigns to assert their rights as the MRA's have done? Many men want a different approach such as MGTOW. You can not have a war if soldiers refuse to fight. You can not use marriage as a weapon against men if men do not get married. It is that simple, but Fifth wave Feminists do not want to give up their power, control and abuse of men. Many men do not want to spend the time energy and funds required to change laws which are hurtful to men, women and families. Lets look at marriage from the woman's perspective? Are there any legal requirements that require that she NOT have multiple affairs during the marriage yet still receive alimony and support payments? Only one state bars alimony to either party in the case of infidelity of a partner. If this were agreeable in the other 49 states perhaps the MGTOW philosophy would be less popular? Also if EACH state required a DNA test at the time of delivery they could bar financial responsibility to the husband. Just these two simple legal remedies would have a huge effect on the stability of families which provides an advantage to all. Lastly, lets examine the whole # MeToo phenomenon. Our society needs to continue to encourage accurate reporting of abuse and it should also have a concomitant criminal penalty for fraudulent claims of abuse. If the penalties were equal it would deter but not eliminate false claims of abuse. Instead of a written warning and a $500 penalty a false abuse , the claimant should face THE SAME Ten years in prison that men face. What is the rational reason to not enact this type of law? I have met many men who support the MGTOW philosophy and who do not have a Personality Adjustment Order. The idea that believing in an unpopular philosophy is a signal that raises a flag for a personality disorder is on politically dangerous ground. Today many Democrats would like to see Republicans being arrested for not agreeing with them! Congressperson Pelosi made that statement yesterday. Arrest the President for disagreeing with her?
