From your presentation, I speculate that George was not as intelligent as his wife Diana Carr. George did not have a degree in chemistry as reported in news media stories but instead his degree was in 1971with a BA in Psychology. Why was he called a "chemist" when he only partially fulfilled requirements for a degree in chemistry? Dr. Diana Carr had the brains in the family. Diana was recognized as the first woman Orthopedic Surgeon in the US. Orthopedic Surgery is one of the most difficult medical specialties and out of 20 recognized specialties. Only Neurological surgery and Cardiovascular surgery have higher minimum academic requirements. Not observing the actual witness testimony it is not possible to have an accurate opinion but I do have the opinion that the direct evidence as recorded against George Trepal was not enough for me to assign him a guilty vote. I think it is possible that Dr. Diana Carr could have manipulated the evidence as well as persons involved to position herself as just another victim? Could she be the actual killer? None of the evidence proves that she did not poison Peggy Carr. How can a jury trial prove a negative? By a verdict of Guilty for George Trepal? Also, they could have both been involved. I don't think association with Mensa has anything to do with this case. The media claims about Thalium Nitrate being used as a possible requirement for synthesis or extraction of methamphetamine is not consistent with any published methods. I don't know what really happened, but both Dr Diana Carr and George Trepal had violated several principles used by criminals by not obfuscating their possible involvement. They both talked about their animus toward the Peggy Carr family. Diane may have gotten away with murder, but under a different police investigation and prosecutor there could be different results. Neither was very smart.
