  1. I found that my solution is to live in an Exurban or rural area with a very low population density. As population density increases so do government "services" and high taxes and self serving regulations. Utility services usually follow population centers. I found that you only need electric utilities. A private water well and septic system is all you need. If there is natural gas available that is a plus but not required. You will not find HOA's in these areas. These areas are located starting just a few miles away from small cities. Larger lots are required for water well and septic systems so a minimum of 2 acres is about average based on local codes and soil conditions. Other negative features includes sidewalks and public transportation all bring along higher taxes and regulations. If you want a library service most now use Mail delivery services so they do not need to be close. The houses in may area have at least 2 acre lots. No sidewalks and narrow streets prevents "boondocking" RV's, tresspassers, vagrants, homeless, loiterers, thieves and Looky lou's .
