  1. I think finding a knowledgeable skilled technican is a large problem. I have had Service Managers lie to me about the work that was done. I marked all tires with chalk that matched areas of the asphalt. The next day the Service Manager told me they started the car ( starter was not working) and drove the car onto a lift and spend X hours troubleshooting it. They want over $1,200 to replace the starter. I found a local hot rod mechanic who found that the starter was put in 180 degrees out of position. He turned the starter back into postion and charged me $125 labor YES! Excellent. The starter was replaced by the dealer a year before and they did not do the job correctly and charged me anyway. Its was a Suburu. Nothing wrong with the starter ,just those Technicians were not trained. I stil can't figure out how they got a car on a lift that never moved?
