  1. Here is my take on it, just the facts: Each of us has a limited life. I want to spend the minimum time listening to or watching material which by definition is DECEPTIVE! Deception includes lies of omission and commission. Advertisements ALWAYS spend more time embellishing, exaggerating and extolling inflated aspects of their services or products. Do they spend the same resources discussing the huge pitfalls and failures that are ALWAYS embedded in any services or product? NO! I stopped watching TV years ago because I realized that I permitted this intentional lying. I use every ad blocker that can be imagined. The car I drive has its badges and emblems removed. Who is paying me to display free ads? When I am forced to watch any ad, I immediately hit the MUTE button and/or fast forward to CONTENT. In my world most SELF PROMOTION is also advertising. Exceptions: I do like self promotion of LOUIS ROSSMAN and old Seinfeld videos that use product promotion in their videos: I love the Kramer character talk about the excellent "Oregon Mackinaw Peaches" which never existed until his skit. Kramer eating a peach says: A "Mackinaw Peach" from Oregon which is ripe for only two weeks a year. "It's like having a circus in your mouth!" exclaims. It is a miracle of nature and like the Aurora Borealis, it is here for only a short period of time." Yes I want one especially since it DOES NOT EXIST.
