  1. You just EXACTLY explained the business of insurance. When a customer sends in a premium payment, ALL of this money is considered to be the property EARNED by the insurance company. If there is ever a LEGITIMATE claim, the typical insurance tactics are: DENY, DELAY and MINIMIZE. They do not consider the value of money over time that they own. Instead if the claim is paid, it is paid over longer and longer periods of time not concerning the reduced value of money months, years later and many will not separately reimburse the cost to the claimant to sue to force the insurance company to comply with the insurance contract.

  2. Your description sounds just like what customers have to do to cancel Comcast/Xfinity. My last attempt took me about 9 hours ( on hold, untrained clerk in Manila etc etc etc excuses).
