  1. Sergei this is EXCELLENT. I think you said the magic word? "care" I live in California and I recently have had issues with mail delivery, no mail, mail in the trash, wrong addresses etc etc etc. I complained through the proper channels and the result by two different USPS postal service investigations was that yes, mail was not being handled correctly, First Class mail was thrown in public trash bins, some mail was dropped into the gutters ( excuse "too much mail") . The investigators found NO postal regulation was violated! Since there is NO POSTAL Regulation that the Postal employees have to CARE about their work quality or quantity. Welcome to the typical "Government job" where you get the because of who you know and remain in the job just because you can fog a mirror. Frequently we read reports of "government employees" receiving checks and benefits even though the "employees" only exist on paper. This justifies higher salaries for the supervisors. Question: How many people do you supervise Ms Manager? Answer: "None. I supervise a program."

  2.  @jackieneale5424  Those postal regulations are investigated by a different agency the US Postal Inspection Agency with the typical government employee " It's not my job" response. The US Postal Inspection service only investigates " INTENTIONAL" violation of Postal regulations and not employee misconduct, poor work quality or not caring about the job. The USPS investigators ( 2 of them) both determined that the issues mentioned previously came under the classification of either " Not caring" or "RTR" waiting for the RTR= Ready To Retire phase of their work. Once 8 years of full employment each USPS letter carrier is guaranteed some job somewhere so who cares? The pay and beenfits are the same.
