  2.  @travisashimself2356  Yes homes that cost a lot of money to buy and to maintain. This is my hobby. Buy houses remodel them and keep them like some people collect baseball cards or stamps. I just built an apartment building ( my hobby) but can not have tenants because in California, tenants are not legally required to pay for rent.

  3. I agree with your sentiment but I also learned that a "job" is considered as "active" income by the IRA and is taxed the greatest. I am lazy in that I "buy and hold" ( no flipping) and never have tenants ( don't want the income). No problems so far?
