  1. To Mike Maloney. My question is for me as an individual. I agree with everything you opin about this economy. My rhetorical question follows. I live comfortably off grid, have no debts and am no longer in the stock markets. I have invested in real estate ( no mortgages) and bonds. I have plenty of liquid cash - fiat money. My question is this: if I today owned a 400 Troy ounces of physical Gold, how will that protect me? Can I use this Gold to buy necessary parts, equipment, food, clothing, medical supplies, necessary medical services? How? When this economy gets really bad isn't it possible for the element Lead to be more "powerful" than mere Gold? What do you recommend? With a possible future with crime and riots in the streets how can a trade or barter system of Gold bullion protect people like me? (hint: there are literally millons just like me).
