Has anyone noticed that in the first and second film there are hidden Christian/biblical themes and parallels? Think about it:Not only does John Connor share the same initials as Jesus Christ, but like the biblical messiah, he's also believed to be humanity's only savior. Furthermore, both John Connor and Jesus Christ were born to women who became pregnant through enigmatic ways. Jesus was born to a virginal mother, while Connor was conceived by a man from the future. If you look closely, scars on Kyle's back resemble excised angel wings, as if he was sent down from heaven. Plus the human resistance’s war against the machines could be an allusion to the War in Heaven. I also think that the terminators are a possible allegory of angels and demons. Those who come to protect Conner are a possible allusion to guardian angels, while those who come to assassinate him are a possible allusion to demons from hell, like how the T-800 in the first film comes out of a hellish fire aftermath of an explosion with its skin melted away revealing its true and terrifyingly inhuman form. Finally, there is Skynet which could be a possible allegory of Lucifer/Satan as someone who was once good but later became independent and evil only to immediately start a vicious war against everyone else. Any comments?
