@candorsspot2775 Farmers existed millennia before investors did, and nobody is more productive on a daily basis than them Stop trying to exaggerate the value of the investor class, you’re not fooling anybody

@candorsspot2775 Tractors were invented after centuries of mining, metalworking, oil drilling, public education etc. etc. preceded their use And you’re going to tell me those countless generations of miners, welders etc. had their labor compensated as abundantly as some inheritance-fund slacker who owned the tractor company selling them at the very end of that pipeline? NOBODY in the executive suite works 300x harder than the janitor who cleans that same building, or the security guard watching its doors at night. You’re not fooling anybody haha

@tomlloyd7122 Saudis are also oilmen, are you going to keep pretending like both their governments are remotely the same?
7
@lolcat5303 Ahh, janitors don’t “add as much value” do they? You ever try working on the same building floor as a fecal spill? Is that even humanly possible?😂 On the topic of people always getting paid what they’re worth: did slaves add nothing to the value of the businesses that owned them? Why are you so convinced that the current pay scale is 100% meritocracy, with NO arbitrary inflation on the executive end whatsoever?

@coopsnz1 Nope! Corps raise prices even when no “taxes & regulations” increase Nice try, though
4
@andrewsmith3613 Inequality is literally growing at this point in time. You conveniently forgot to mention that little part of the equation
4
@candorsspot2775 The current trajectory of living standards are 100% relevant to the real world, literally nothing else matters more to human beings But you feel free to enjoy wherever you’re living instead though

@lervish1966 Projecting😂

@keithcommins If someone lacks the money to buy anything BUT junk food, how are they supposed to escape that trap genius? By resorting to government food programs, which are also being mishandled or underfunded all the time?
2
@keithcommins It costs more to buy an organic salad here than a chemically doused burger from the same block, and that’s not even considering the extra cortisol/inflammation from bad work/home environments needed to make the money, or far more punishing commutes if you don’t own a car to shop for this same food with etc. Plus I left the 9-5 grind myself years ago, I just know how to look out for people other than myself or my relatives even if I’m not affected at all Keep polishing those golden knobs though, maybe they’ll toss you back some table scraps buddy! Good boy
2
@keithcommins Not only DID people “make excuses” a hundred years ago regarding 7-day workweeks etc., they actually enacted entire laws to change the same things instead of polishing knobs like yourself Explain to me why you’re worth continuing to reply to, after you’ve proudly showcased the most hilarious misreading of history I’ve seen all week

@candorsspot2775 One cited driver of inflated prices is corporate price-fixing. Will you blame that on “the government” as well?
1
@tomlloyd7122 Why did you tunnel-vision on oil alone when I just proved that isn’t the only factor in how any economy distributes its growth?
1
@candorsspot2775 Hahaha what planet are you living on?? Walmart workers are placed on welfare even as the company continues to grow, you geezers will always pretend like greed & oppression cannot exist Which is either the sign of a hamster IQ, or much more likely an attempt to gaslight as you struggle to join this plundering class yourself But you’re fooling nobody, sorry. Greed is a plague, and hedonism is a false god when we all face the void sooner than we’d like :)
1
@allanhutton1123 Reagan helped destroy the US middle class. What planet are you on
1
@candorsspot2775 News flash: poor people can’t afford to lawyer up when they get LESS than their “40%”, hello? I’m done wasting time on this clearly productive conversation lmao
