Sounds pretty ignorant to me As for “the alternative”, it would be re-establishing all those cushy pensions & benefits you old people benefited from before gutting all these same jobs & offshoring them, only to bloat your own retirement portfolios while you stabbed your working American neighbors in the back I am a patriot, so I fully support the recent unionization efforts to restore workers’ income in comparison to current living expenses. I’m not sure what you are instead

Escapism is the coping mechanism, not the cause The cause is extremely low purchasing power (i.e. ratio of income to expenses), exacerbated by a bunch of greedy generations before them either offshoring jobs entirely, or just gutting the hell out of benefits/incentives for any jobs left behind Sounds like you’re shifting blame onto random trivialities. Boomers had cushy lives. Their incomes were far larger in relation to their living expenses, that is not a debatable issue whatsoever whether we’re talking about groceries, education, housing, medicine etc. etc. Then these Boomers turned around to either offshore American jobs, or gut benefits from them just to pad their own retirement portfolios a little more, at the cost of stabbing fellow working citizens in the back I wouldn’t pretend like I had any face left to save, if I were you
