@Psychic Physics If someone was managing your business as badly as the government is managing the military, you wouldn’t be this prissy about technicalities. And yet taxpayers with soaring expenses have to sit there and watch this Ivy League goober guffaw about starving soldiers & homeless veterans, at the same time as record profits roll in for US defense-contractors. Stop pretending like you wouldn’t scramble immediately after your precious dollars; nobody is buying your routine

Strawman alert 2) I expect a civilian-bombing organization, sized today in the trillions of US dollars, to be a bit more accountable than gee oh I dunno, some random mail-ordering scheme which ships out underwear & textbooks 3) Ignoring an elephant in the room of profit-motive driving most military expenditure today (via private contractors etc.) is simply corrupt deflection of the highest degree; you know who benefits MOST from obfuscating the numbers?? People who don’t want you to ever READ those numbers
