Normal people understand that bitcoin is at best a zero sum game. Im not mad. Im just disappointed.

@jonathanseibert8832 ok. Today i went to la fitness, publix and someone brought me panera. Not one of those places accepts bitcoin. Not one place that i drove past accepts bitcoin. Your assertion that bitcoin transactions are "literally endless" apparently ends somewhere beyond my gym.

@elgroovy im no expert in international finance and perhaps i am naive. However i believe that its important to distinguish between a "local" vs "global" zero sum game. If you and i exhange a companys stock, then the local game is zero sum. Globally that stock is 1. Initial capital for a functioning business and 2. Performing price discovery of the value of that company. I think we can all agree the world economy is providing goods and services and supporting billions of people. Bitcoin and to lesser extent ether is a zero sum game both locally and globally. In reality it is a negative sum game. Yes. I do believe bitcoin has utility. However, if you are not a criminal and live in a functioning economy the utility of bitcoin is functionally zero. A stock might seem like gambling or indistinguishable from bitcoin. But you cant seriously be that stupid. Stocks make modern life in developed countries possible. You personally can get a piece of a profitable company. Bitcoin is nothing. Its a reciept for an exchange that didnt happen. The industry that support bitcoin and all of crypto is economic value lost because crypto specifically does not and can not "produce" value.

@elgroovy i tried to respond to you and google censored my reply as bullying. Thats the level of this conversation.

@elgroovy i dont have to defend the fact that bitcoin is a zero sum game. Go buy magic beans if you want.

@elgroovy yes you bring up an excellent point and the topic of my censored comment. There is a difference between "local" and "global". Earths economy might be locally zero sum but is clearly positive sum. Crypto might be locally positive sum (lets say you personally manufacture hardware for example) but the entirety... The global sum of crypto is hugely negative sum. Calling crypto zero sum is generous at best.

Literally the only transactions you can do with Bitcoin is other crypto or dollars. So its anything but a currency. Admit it. Youre a walking ad from the back of hustler mag.

@jonathanseibert8832 yup. Ok. I definitely don't think so. But ok.
1
@jonathanseibert8832 what is the last item you purchased with bitcoin? And how long ago was that?
1
@jonathanseibert8832 according to google search, the tranasaction fee on botcoin is 7.61, which is almost half the entire transaction at publix. And by the end of the day would have been over 20 dollars. Bitcoin is not a currency. Its a receipt for nothing. Its not even magic beans.
1
And you sold and took the money. How do you think this ends exactly?

@mrmookypooky im not sure at all why youd think thats relevant. I really hope this whole thing works out for you guys. Best wishes. Cheers!
