  1. No country has ever reached communism. The USSR stood for the Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics. According to Marx, Socialism is suppose to eventually result in communism, but all attempts to reach communism are done through Socialism. Socialism is utopianism, and communism is the fantasy utopia at the end of the rainbow. Socialism does NOT mean just having government, because governments had existed for thousands of years before Socialism. There is no middle socialism, otherwise it wouldn't be socialism. Scandinavia is not socialist, they have a large welfare state, and are called social democracies, which is NOT socialism.
