@Wolfgang8-Y yes much of that poverty is a result of racism; but most of that racism is from decades ago. The fact is that just as the black population in America had gained equal rights in America, the economy began slowing down, ending the economic golden age in the 50s and 60s, and entering the 70s which was a period of both stagnation and inflation. That coupled with the fact that since the late 70s, income inequality has been rising, and it's no wonder the black community never gained economic parity with the rest of America. But we dont have time machine, so we can't move the civil rights movement to the 1940s, and we have to deal with the conditions as they are today, which means addressing the actual primary cause for most of the disparagement among the black community today, which us poverty, not racism.
