I replaced transmission in my fords waaaaayyyyyyy back There were 2 types and if i remember correctly a C6 which went in cars and C9 in trucks The C9 had a longer tail piece but you could switch the tail piece between the 2 transmissions So go to the junkyard get a C6 then take the tail shaft off the C9 switch them and in good to go
