  1. hippos are pretty dumb animals. they just attack what ever when ever no matter if its just minding its business just because its in the hippo's "territory" they're brawn instead of brains in animal form. pure instinct and stupidity is all they have. nothing goes on inside their head. just testosterone fulled rage. elephants are the opposite they're smart and strong. and they have a natural curiosity about the world and even use tools. they are capable of empathy and mourning too. they are distinctly sapient although young males do go crazy like a hippo without a older male keeping them in check.
