They did not run out of persecution and all. 89% Indian muslims supported separate state of pak but did not leave. We did not chase them also. So those who went they went by themselves and now they cannot come back without coming back with pak territory. If we give pak muslims citizens then they should return pak territory to India if not it is risky for India to give citizenship to muslims this is why India terms "persecuted minorities" of pak. A Muslim is not minority in pak Bangladesh no matter what sect they are it is Muslim religion only end of the day which is majority.

So in rare cases it is practiced in tribal areas in India but it is not promoted by Indias religion nor is it promoted by law of the land unlike in Islamic states your very religion promotes honor killing and your law and order promotes it. It is enforceable by court of competent jurisdiction. Many love interfaith marriages in India common amongst Hindus Christians jains. To find interfaith marriage between Muslim and non Muslim is very rare ( exceptional cases 1 out of 100). I know about Pakistan. The court in Pakistan itself allowed honor killing. 2 couples burnt alive in Pakistan within the court premises and your judge let the offender walk away.
