@Lizard Apsara manu smrithies is distorted. It is lost its originality.. And the verse from mahabartha you mentioned is taking about "ill effects" of kali yuga. "Women like fire and man like butter". Men in this age of kali yuga. "Brahmin" is not by birth but by virtue. Manu smrithi is not regarded as standard anymore because the book totally was rewritten.
