Your comments are going out of context. 1) this is a restaurant and not a club. 2) if there is a dress code, the owner of the restaurant should publish that code of dress explicit that visible for public at large in display. The restaurant did not publish anything before hand and not letting the ladies with saree walk in is clearly an insult. He/she should be sued for defamation and cultural discrimination. This is what happens when illiterates try to become like westerners and end up in no-mans-land like a wannabe westerner . You dont even know about the Indian constitution nor the local basic law and try to lecture us about elements of democracy and secularism. Clearly your arguments are like an andh desciple.

@MrVaibhav2625 If she slapped then that is offence only. But in a country where the majority is hindu culture you cannot blaspheme that culture and expect the law to control the crowd. Law itself is framed by "existing customs and usage". This is same everywhere in every country. You cannot force someone not to wear their daily local customary wear in place and bring your own rule there and expect the law to take action.so if a judgment is given means the judge would favor the lady in saree and punish the owner of the restaurant for act of his/ her servant. And the lady in saree will be imposed worh penalty like fine.
