 @andrewworth4810 Cuba the USA was about to invade Cuba. Russia took the missiles off Cuba but USA did not take their missiles off Turkey after promising to take it.

@andrewworth4810 Russia invaded Ukraine because of US provocations alone like the Cuba incident usa was about to invade Cuba. US also warned Russia that any missile strike against USA from Cuba will be deemed as a strike from ussr.

@andrewworth4810 the sources I read so far says US issued dire warning to Soviet union that day and about invading Cuba thru surgical air strikes. Russia took this threat seriously and removed their missiles from Cuba in response.

@andrewworth4810 invasion is more better because nuclear war is worst than invading. If suppose usa does surgical air strikes over Cubas nuclear facilities and then USA gets back a nuclear strike from Cuba and USA strike ussr using nukes ( because according to USA, any nuclear strike from Cuba is directly proportional to a nuke attack launched against USA from USSR) then it results in all out nuclear conflict. So I feel invading is much better than a global nuclear conflict. Why should whole world' suffer because of 2-3 nations in war?

@andrewworth4810 similarly here the USA wanted to use Ukraine to proxy war against a nuclear armed Russia later. Russia apprehending the seriousness invaded ukrain now itself. Now the USA is trying to force Georgia against Russia exactly like Georgia started attacks on Russia back in 2008 thru proxy they were induced to fire artillery in Russian border inviting a Russian invasion of Georgia back in time. See the USA version of democracy and respecting borders clearly means 3rd party nations abiding to the rules imposed by USA. If they do not listen to US rules then you accuse them of violating of human rights; disrespect of borders etc. This is how it looks like.

@Boobobear the difference between ex ussr republics ( currently NATO allies) speaking volumes against Russia vs the majorty civilians of the same NATO groups speaking volumes against USA and nato = 1) ex republic of ussr condemd Russia for invading and ruling them 2) majority civilians of NATO including USA condemns USA & nato in volume for using international law, money, power to rule whole world. Now test of worst disaster: USA wins and Russia loses. Explaining why USA wins = usa wants to control whole world using shackle of money power; law; globalization. All are set up by USA and imposed by usa. Russia invaded only few nations to make Soviet union. Thus usa is more disaster than Russia.

@andrewworth4810 whether they say foot in Cuba or not is secondary issue because of no direct evidence. But primary thing is USA was ready to bomb Cuba that day forcing USSR to walk out.
