Indian navy finish ordering tejas but army and airforce still obsessed with foreign equipment. This is actually delaying local manufacturing.

@jojyrocks no not. Lca is not subsystem. The delay is due to Indian airforce obsession with foreign jets because they get commission from foreign defense industries.

@jojyrocks yes yes truth. We have lots of spares from foreign nations truth. Thats why govt told full indigenization of defense would take 10 years. No need to worry If US sanction. We have started making spares in India. By next 10 years we will have spares made in India However delay is due to Indian army and airforce mindset of buying foreign weapons. They get commission. Whatever the local defense give them the army and airforce will be ready to reject. To create obstacle for local defense the airforce will keep demanding new specifications in the mid of an ongoing project fixed earlier.

@jojyrocks "atmanirbir means our own" Atmanirbir is an aim. Under the aim only we can proceed forward. While proceeding forward you cannot clear 500 feet height without clearing 200 feet height. It requires 10 years to go fully indigenous. It may require even 15 years. It wont happen over night. So long we used to import "stealth". But now in 2020 we made stealth in India by drdo. Now we need not buy stealth from other nations. Step by step is the way forward.

@jojyrocks "it is time to ditch dependency" but army and airforce is creating obstacle to Indian defense industries because they are getting commission from foreign defense to buy foreign weapons. This has to be stopped. There needs to be inspection done in army.
