  1. "What's the point of striving for anything" It depends on what you strive. If you strive in your business/ work/ academics/ etc its good but Krishna says not to worry about the result of your hardwork. He says to give your best in anything you do "as a matter of duty alone" without being attached to the fruits ( result) of action ( your hard work) because bondage to anything in this material world bounds the living entity to this material world thus salvation from material world becomes hard. Krishna did not delude us. He gave us a manual to get out of this material world. He put us in world of illusion because we asked for it at the time of creation. Monk says "Krishna created us" this is wrong. Lord brahma created us. Brahma is creator. Vishnu created brahma.

He doesnt know how to Express the taste of the honey correctly, the hindu side debate. 2) the christan side debate was forcing words into the hindu debaters mouth and controlling the whole conversation most of the time interrupting. "Deceive" here the jivas ( souls) wanted to enjoy independent like god so we came here into this illusory world. Here Krishna is not deceiver, here we got what we asked for ie we can dream as much as we want in this world till you want to back to godhead.

  3. By connect with self. Meditation. "We live in illusion" for eg we want to be center of attraction. Each of us live with dream we want to shine; we want to lead; etc. We wanted to be like God so we came here. Monk : Krishna deluded us. ( technically yes) but factually the word deluded is incorrect usage. The actual usage is "Krishna put us in his illusory energy ie maya ( maya = sanskrit term) because we asked for that. Because we wanted to rule like God. So god gave us this place ie material world which is temporary which is full of illusion you can dream here as much as you want thats what it means "deluded" used by the young monk, may be he is yet not in hold with the subject. The self/soul is part of God. Just by connecting with the self one will be able to know what is right and wrong.

  4. Logic you must trust but not emotions. Because nothing is permanent in this world. So Krishna says to remain in balanced state of mind without getting carried over by various emotions. Happiness will come but it will go away. Like wise sadness and other different emotions all are temporary and illusion.

We is Atman. Chapter 4 verse 5. "Both you and me have taken many births but you dont know mine but I know yours" Chapter 10 text 23 ( the opulence of the absolute) Among the rudras I am the lord Shiva; Of the ysknas and raknasas I am the lord of wealth ( kuvera); Of the vasus I am the lord of fire agni; and of the mountains I am the meru" Chapter 18 verse 65 "Always worship me and pay homage unto me..." He is God only. Krishna did not reveal who he is to anybody expect for few they are arjuna during mahabartha war; beeshma ( beeshma already knew Krishna was vishnu, he knew his side will lose the war because vishnu personally was with pandavas side to uphold virtue); draupadhi; "Krishna died by arrow" ofcourse he had to satisfy the following 3 devotees viz 1) he promised the hunter in his previous ram avatar that he will die same way in krishna avatar 2) he accepts the curse of gandhari before she revoked it 3) all avatars must end in order to welcome incoming ages if not the earth will become heaven then the whole purpose of creation will be defeated. This material world ie maya is greatest devotee of Krishna so he did not want to violate the law of karma. If he violates the law of karma then his whole purpose of this avatar will make no sense becsuse krushna avatar was taken to uphold virtue. All will come and all will go and nothing is permanent in this material world is law of this material world and he did not violate that. He is seen as God only. Vishnu sahastra namam confirms krushna is vishnu is Shiva is shakti is maya etc. Now all purposes were satisfied.
