During the Raptor’s first-ever major air exercise in 2006, an Air Force F-16 most likely dating from the 1980s managed to “kill” an F-22. A Navy Growler jet,designed to jam enemy radars, repeated the feat in 2008 or early 2009. “No matter how magical the F-22, any pilot can make a mistake,” admitted Lt. Col. Dirk Smith, a Raptor squadron commander. And the 2009 war game would not be the last to result in “dead” Raptors. In June 2012 a contingent of German pilots (flying the same new Typhoon fighters as the British) figured out the best tactics for shooting down the F-22.

@lbtt295 don't worry, Rafales & typhoons have already figured out the tactics to beat the F-22. The war games weren't just for fun since US denied that thier F-22s were downed

@lbtt295 if you aren't worried, you wouldn't have bothered to reply with Iliad & Odyssey. The very fact that you are trying to prove the same point, so desperately that F-22 won't be spotted first, F-22 & F-15 have so much capabilities, blah blah blah means you aren't confident. Otherwise my comments & replies aren't so hard to ignore. After all, if F-22s are such a formidable jets, capable jets, do they need advocates? Rafales & Mirages have not only seen more "real" combat & "real" kills, something the F-22 hasn't but also have proven to be the most reliable jets, at par with F-15 & F-16. If handled with skill, Mirage is a true multirole jet. Rafale however is a younger advanced brother but far more deadly.
