Rafale seems better in comparison with AESA radar & cutting edge electronic warfare suites, not to mention the meteor missiles. Rafale has also scored kills against the American F-22

Not an advice, opinion & Indians are aware of modern technologies too.

@arunkrishnakumar692 crippled? Really? In the exercise that took place UAE in 2009, the F-22 scored 6 kills followed by one each by Rafale & Mirage 2000. You call that crippled? But the USAF began giving excuses that F-22 had external tanks which reduced maneuverability to which the French made the video of Rafale's hud public that showed no external fuel tanks. This left USAF red faced.

@manoharchandrashekar2085 I'm sure they will. We can plug those gaps with our LCA or some of the above Su-35. India has always a mix of combat jets & that's actually advantageous

@pagan-540 Mach 1 means speed of sound. Mach 4 means 4 times the speed of sound. Hardpoints not only carry weapons but equipments like fuel tank & electronic countermeasure pods.
3
@abhi739 only unit cost is high, flying cost is equal to Mirage. Besides Rafale has meteor missiles & powerful electronic countermeasures that can spoof enemy radar
3
@jimtan8472 No need for your judgement, this is not a court & you are in a wrong place...

@ajayraina8478 US French exercise, UAE al Dafr airbase, 2009. Six kills for F-22, one F-22 kill for Emirati Mirage 2000 & one F-22 kill for Rafale.
2
@starkov7284 But Mig-35 is like old wine in new bottle, it's mostly an upgraded MIG-29 however Rafale is built new from scratch & has many more features than just AESA radar. Russia can upgrade our IAF MIG-29s too
2
@izanagisburden9465 The aviationist website F-22 Raptor kill markings shown off by German Eurofighter Typhoons. "The F-22 is not invincible" saga continues.
2
@shashankgangwar3474 Ok bro
2
@jojyrocks Far as India's scenario is concerned, Rafale is the best choice since it's big bro Mirage has proven its worth in Kargil & Balakot strikes. Mirage was primarily an Interceptor but far better than MIG 21, Rafales are even better than Mirage. You see in our Indian scenario, a delta winged jet will give us edge to defend a huge theatre of our territory. That's why even LCA has compound delta wings.

@ichigok7314 So, help them!!! Share what you know. Think of welfare of your fellow countrymen...
2
@arunkrishnakumar692 of course a combat jet that can stand toe to toe with the fifth gen Stealth fighter is best for India

@mrahulkeya8142 true
1
@pagan-540 I don't understand what you mean but hardpoints are weapon & equipment slots.
1
@srinivasrao369 Read the reviews of operators of various countries around the globe. Rafale can stand toe to toe with Chinese J-20s & Paxtani F-16s.

@turanamo Geopolitics has become interesting recently. Did you know about the massive protests in France to leave NATO? The French have threatened again after "actually" leaving NATO in the past. The French are also displeased by huge cancellation of Australian order for scorpene submarines under America's snap. Besides the deal which we have done with France is TOT. Similar deal was done with Russia for Sukhois. We are not just able to locally manufacture Sukhois but also add upgrades & mods to it like the Astra BVR & towed decoy systems. Once deal is signed, we'll get exclusive access to Dassault technology. Also France is keen to help India with indigenous jet engines design. Looking at this lucrative offer, US has also expressed thier willingness to provide thier powerful engines & design that power thier F-22s & F-35s. So overall it's a win win situation.
1
@izanagisburden9465 F-22 has been defeated in every front, BVR & close combat by not just Rafale but Eurofighter typhoons & 80s F-16s too. F-22s are getting retired permanently by 2030 because of this.
1
@turanamo France still remains on top in the list of contenders for MMRCA deal. Thier main concern is numbers however India is trying to get the sweet spot so as to support indigenous development which shows how much the present government cares for welfare of our nation's employment. Far as US is concerned, they have not just opened doors to Pentagon but also are keen with thier F-21 jets. US had never agreed in the past to supply engines which now they are. Hope you saw the G-20 summit video where Biden walks towards PM Modi ji for a handshake, something that has never happened before.
1
@izanagisburden9465 It happened in UAE , Al Dafr airbase, in 2009. You can type Rafale shoots down F-22 & follow the links
1
@izanagisburden9465 Aviation geek website The USAF wants to retire the F-22 Raptor beginning around 2030 mainly due to two reasons: the F-22’s high operating costs, and the F-22’s obsolescence in a number of areas, with the latter being the primary reason.
1
@izanagisburden9465 The Air Force wants to retire 33 of the early models, the Block 20s that are mostly used for training, claiming that modernizing them to the Block 30 standard would be too expensive. Andrew Hunter, the assistant secretary for acquisition, technology and logistics, argues that upgrading those F-22s would limit the funds available to develop and field an unmanned aircraft, a drone, to fly alongside the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) aircraft when it arrives sometime after 2030. But this argument shows little concern about the dangers of diminishing the service’s already sorely stretched operational capabilities.

@izanagisburden9465 USAF & Congress are still at loggerheads about the retirement but that's not the POD. Rafales, Mirage 2000s, Eurofighters & F-16s have taken out the F-22 & that's what matters.

@AAA310 🤣
1
@hiddendagger7291 That's why we are putting efforts on getting technical know-how from France & USA for our indigenous engine development. Both are willing to assist in our Kaveri engines.
1
@abhi739 that's US's masterstroke to fuel an F-16 arms race between India & Bhikharistan. F-21 is a way the US finds to clean it's F-16 inventories so that US can clear space & handle the costs of F-35. Let's not fall in that trap.
1
@shashankgangwar3474 F-21 F-16 hi hai aur kal Bhikharistan ko bhi de sakta hai. Koi guarantee hai?
1
@rathindrasarkar3238 By your logic, even Russian jets are not safer because an Su-35 wreckage alongwith electronic countermeasures pods fell in the hands of West during the ongoing Ukraine war. Also US has acces to many MIG 29s & Su-27 through small operator countries.
1
@jojyrocks I'm sure in coming days, France might leave NATO just like it left once in the past. Yes France can be coerced but the ongoing conditions will also make France rethink it's alliance with US. Also US has moved away it's automobile industries back home which has already left France & Germany fuming.
1
@sigma-sigma1 it's better that F-35 is not presented. Germany & South Korea aren't too happy with it. Even the US DOT &E REPORT says that F-35 still has 800+ flaws. Su-57 numbers are too small, can they even build sizeable numbers for the Russians?
1
@sigma-sigma1 Those who are buying F-35s are buying because they belong to NATO & are bound by interoperability conditions. Perks you get for being the sole superpower uncle Sam
1
@sigma-sigma1 Right, I agree with you

@ichigok7314 so you say that Twitter is a panel full of experts?
1
@ichigok7314 yes, highlight "some"...
1
@ichigok7314 negligible isn't it? Out of total Twitter users?
1
@ichigok7314 my friend, all are social media only. Don't say one is better than other. It's people's choice where they want to comment or reply. Don't just go on boasting your Twitter. Also no real scientist or real inventor would waste thier time on Twitter.
1
@ichigok7314 even the lot is not even 10% of total Twitter users
1
@ichigok7314 I really don't care what's there on Twitter & where you login & logout. All are social media only & it's a personal choice where one wants to comment. You have no right to question or judge anyone's comment. You can reply at the most & discuss if one someone replies back. That's all...
