@ristoo.toivanen1523 But Gripen is not a Fifth generation jet & also not stealthy which Ukraine needs. F-35 also can take off from shorter runways because of VTOL

@ristoo.toivanen1523 Not really, you see an F-35 can do much more than a Gripen. To begin with, F-35 has much more power than a Gripen & since it's stealthy, it can survive many missions. It has higher payload capacity so in a single go, it can destroy many targets.

@ristoo.toivanen1523 If you actually compare the costs, F-35 isn't so expensive. Also since F-35 users are many, the prices, both of maintenance & operation will come down significantly. F-35 was designed to be cost effective & many years were wasted in achieving it but now it has gathered pace ever since criticism increased
