  2. @Tattle Boad oh, easy, if they all bleat the same inane claptrap, yet claim to be unique, then just walk away. There are sometimes external signs, such as man-buns and skinny jeans, but not always.

  3. The often used "Thou shall not kill" is actually a misquote. The correct quote, in English, is " thou shall not commit murder", and the distinction made when it was written was deliberate and important.

  4.  @CommodoreFloopjack78  It depends, as the initial version was precise and definitely specific, the later modern version is also designed to convey a certain message. You might call it a technicality, but communication often requires parsing between similar, but not identical words. This might seem pedantic, but it is indeed true that "- not commit murder" and "-not kill" are not precisely the same, and were written deliberately to convey different interpretations of the law. The first is a clear command not to murder, specifically, at the time other Israelites. Like today's legal definitions, not all killing is defined as murder, and these were laws crafted for a specific cultural setting. Commanding not to kill is more inclusive.

  6.  @eddiedeleon3784  If you are talking to me, then my answer is that American ways of speaking English are neither universal, nor necessarily correct. We Brits find "American English" to be quaint and humourous, and often wrong. To-may-to, tomato.
