@lordsithous4406 Most faiths have nicked stuff, Christianity is not unique in this, but funny how Islam is never similarly accused, though it is even more derivative. Fear of riots maybe? As for the Saturnalia connection, it is not as if there are any living adherents to that faith, apart from a few wannabes who just delight in reminding everyone of what was stolen from "them" even though that faith died out around 650 AD.

That is pretty much true, hence the use of American measurements, terms and a focus on that audience generally. Plus it gives them a huge opportunity to whinge about his pronunciation, not that they can talk.
