@johnadams3715 I am currently studying the court documents in order to be able to understand the full concept of this situation. I will get back to you in a minute. However, before I do that, prosecutors can claim things as long as there is sufficient evidence to proof it in court, which is exactly what they are supposed to do. As for the court, they decide whether or not the crumbleys should be taken accountable or not, based on the facts' presented by prosecutors and the defendant's lawyers. Since you believed to know more about this case, what part of the prosecutors claim are not facts? Because, you do realize the court has given a verdict. Both are sentenced 10 to 15 years in prison for involuntary ........

@johnadams3715 By the way, it doesn't change the fact that the firearms were not secured enough for the kid to get hold of them.

@johnadams3715 Were the firearms secured by the parents? The answer is yes. How? You explained it. Second question, is the kid the one who was able to get the firearm and no one else helped him? Yes and no. So how was the kid able to get through the "secured" lock on both the firearm and ammunition? Can you answer that. meanwhile, I'm still studying the documents. thirdly, this question is for you, would you consider that the firearm wasn't fully secured after all, knowing what halpened?

@johnadams3715 This would be unacceptable in the military for armourer, if the firearms were to be taken out of permission despite them claiming to have them "secured." It is quite considered as negligence leading armourer to article 15.

@baldeagle4710 In a way, yes. Theoretically we can say that the parents marked a path for the child through which he could follow. So, the parents' negligence in securing the firearm they presented to the child was the primary factor leading to this tragedy.
