  1. Because the resolution called for a non-ceasefire that would compromise Hamas' demands without the release of the hostages. So how are you going to be okay with one party being free and the others are not? Don't you think it's hypocritical? Fyi, there were several occasions when israel asked for the release of hostages for a ceasefire and hamas denied it. So what are we doing here? why not release the hostages?
