  6.  @sandybennett_itsme Trump did not bring troops home or end endless wars, but rather added fuel to the fire by adding more troops, deepening dependence on private contractors, and expanding air warfare. In fact, he revoked a rule that would summarize statistics on deaths from drone strikes in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia. He extended the conflicts by seeing an increase in the Pentagon's annual budget. To date, results have shown that under the Trump administration, it carried out eight times as many drone strikes in Afghanistan between 2015 and 2019, with an increase in civilian casualties. In Yemen, he repeatedly used veto power to override bipartisan congressional majorities that sought to stop U.S. military involvement and block the flow of weapons to the conflict. Trump gutted the intermediate range nuclear forces treaty, withdrew from the open skies treaty that guaranteed transparency between the US, Europe and Russia, and failed to extend the critical New Start treaty with Russia. this guy sold weapons to dictators, tried to launch a new war in Kenya, sparked a cold war with China, and assassinated a militant Iranian general, putting troops and Americans at greater risk. The guy used the government to blackmail other countries through sanctions so they could do his dirty bidding abroad and in the US. trump nearly led the US into a nuclear war against NK and a civil war against eachother. While also passing bills that were controversial among many others, children detention centers, the disruption of the education system, and the weaponization of executive agencies against low income communities. In principle, geopolitics is fundamental to the lives of all people and therefore to understand why this is happening now, we must look closer and analyze the past decisions that led to where things are today.
