@76482 The middle class was very strong and did great under FDR, a Democrat. The middle class flourished until Reagan, a Republican, lied to the American people that cutting taxes (Reaganomics - trickle-down economics) for the rich and the corporations would help the American families become richer. That was the start of the decline of the middle class. The Republicans keep cutting taxes for the wealthy, and make the regular workers pay for everything. Open your eyes!!! Now, both Democrats and Republicans in politics are both bribed (paid and bought for) by the wealthy and big corporations, so the politicians do the bidding for the elites and make laws to make the rich get richer, while they leave the regular American people struggling paycheck to paycheck.

@Marcos Republicans deregulate AND cut taxes FOR the rich. They don't like a lot of regulations so they can manipulate the system, use the resources of Mother Earth, and make unlimited, unregulated wealth for the rich and the corporations. Reagan cut massive taxes for the rich, which weakened the middle class. Reagan also weakened the unions, to manipulate people's wages. Then Bush Jr. cut some more taxes for the rich and Obama extended the Bush tax cut. And on December, 2017, Dump gave another $1.8 TRILLION tax cut for him and his billionaire friends. The Republicans have NEVER believed in helping to make people's lives better for the good of all. Their agendas have always been to make money and make the rich richer, and the working class struggling like slaves.
